Teklan ще бъде жури и на Dezeen Award 2026 в партньорство с Trimble. А друга спомената вече тук част от журито е Ma Yansong. Ще следим с интерес, защото не на всеки му отива да се идентифицира с толкова цветни професионални поприща. А тук изглежда правилно!

Silence! Because everywhere there is noise, chatter, and the echo of countless languages. But only up to a point.
Modern spaces increasingly offer sound insulation, proper acoustics, and a balanced sound environment. It matters—for the office, for the home, not only at cultural events, but in everyday life, and in an accessible way. This is how we came across Teklan—Tekla Evelina Severin, originally from Sweden.
And let’s add some color! Because she is a renowned colorist, photographer, and interior designer. A quick and recognizable example from our everyday surroundings is the IKEA x Teklan collection, which you can explore on IKEA’s website and in IKEA stores.
At the 2026 Salone del Mobile, Teklan was featured at the Slalom stand, because it turns out that muted noise and silence can have color too—and everything can exist in harmony. Soft Cubism is the name of her installation for the stand, and it is difficult to remain indifferent to it.
“With Soft Cubism, I wanted to create a space shaped by perception: a quiet interplay of geometry and softness, clarity and illusion. Something precise, yet gently disorienting—a form of everyday surrealism grounded in materiality, atmosphere, and care.”

Teklan will also serve as a judge for the 2026 Dezeen Awards, held in partnership with Trimble. Another member of the jury we have already mentioned here is Ma Yansong. We will be following the awards with great interest, because not everyone can so effortlessly embody such a diverse and colorful range of professional pursuits. In Teklan’s case, it feels entirely natural. With two rug collections for Layered, while staying true to her distinctive style, Teklan continues to expand the palette of design objects through color.
